Some days it seems like my to-do list just never ends. My first day off I was swamped with packages to mail, grocery shopping, laundry, among other things.
This is one of my go-to recipes when I’m running around and don’t have a ton of time for a sit-down breakfast. It’s a quick smoothie with only several key ingredients, boosted with a little extra to keep me on my feet and going. Honestly, I’m a coffee freak, but I don’t feel the need to have as many cups to get me going when I have this delicious smoothie.
You Must Have:
1 c. of unsweetened almond milk
½ of a banana
1 handful of spinach
1 tbsp. of protein powder (my favorite is Orgain Organic Plant Based Protein Powder, Sweet Vanilla Bean, 2.03 Pound, 1 Count” target=”_blank”>Orgain Organic Plant Based Protein Powder in Vanilla Bean) make sure your protein powder is plant based, not whey protein, which your body struggles to break down.
1 tsp. of chia seeds
You Must Do:
Dump all of the items into a blender and blend until smooth. Add more almond milk until you reach your desired consistency.
